Our General Veterinary Services in Hoboken, Bayonne and Jersey City

Pet Wellness Care

We believe that preventive care is essential to each pet’s ongoing health. Our wellness care services are targeted to maintain each pet’s well-being with the number one goal of preventing illness. We strongly believe in biannual visits for each of our patients. Since pets age so much faster than humans, it is important for us to see them on a regular basis in order to understand their baseline health. This is the best way for us to identify and diagnose any future health concerns that may arise. It also helps us to catch those problems early enough, before it may be too late for effective treatment options.

Spay, Neuter, and General Surgical Services

Each one of our four animal hospital locations is equipped with a modern and state-of-the-art surgical suite. We use the most up-to-date anesthetic and pain management protocols for our surgical procedures, ensuring that your pet is as safe and comfortable as possible. Our surgeons and technicians utilize advanced surgical monitoring equipment to watch your pet’s vital signs throughout their entire surgical procedure. We also offer laser surgery for some applications.

Rest assured, we can provide surgical care for pets for preventive reasons, as well as the unfortunate circumstances of illness or injury.

Preventive and Corrective Dental Care

At our hospitals, we adhere strongly to a preventive care philosophy when it comes to dental health. This means we believe in working to prevent oral diseases, because prevention is much easier and cost-effective than treatment after the disease has been acquired. Dental problems can accumulate and cause health problems in other parts of the body, making dental care that much more important.

Each of our animal hospital locations provide preventive dental care and health maintenance, and we are also equipped to take care of unfortunate dental problems such as broken teeth or gum disease.

Geriatric Pet Care

Our pets age at a much different rate than we do, so at our hospitals we utilize various modalities to adjust the care needed for each individual patient. This helps to manage the aging process for our pets. Some of the geriatric diagnostics we provide include blood analysis, urinalysis, x-ray, echocardiograms, ultrasound, and more. We are also equipped to provide cold laser therapy for patients with painful conditions.

Ultrasound, Radiography, and EKG

Digital radiology gives us the ability to have imaging results in seconds. We submit these images electronically for a second opinion and a detailed report from a specialty radiology group headed by board-certified radiologist Dr. Victor Rendano. Our in-house ultrasound is performed by a traveling ultrasonographer who comes to our practice for abdominal ultrasounds and echocardiograms (ultrasound of the heart).

Diagnostic Laboratory

We provide on-the-spot diagnostic laboratory services, as well as a twice daily pick-up from the country’s #1 veterinary reference laboratory. This ensures that your pet has the test results they need as quickly as possible.

Pet Pharmacy

Our in-house pharmacies provide a one-stop-shop at all of our animal hospital locations. Our pharmacies are fully stocked with most of the medications that your pet will need for their care. Our onsite pharmacies provide the convenience of medication pick-up immediately after your visit, allowing your pet to begin their treatment right away. We are also able to work with other pharmacies, as needed, for pets who have special medical requirements. We’ll be happy to discuss this with you on an as-needed basis.

Allergy Testing

Pets are often affected by allergies which can cause skin conditions, ear infections, and more. We work with an allergy diagnostic laboratory in California to help identify the allergies that your pet has. This enables us to develop a prompt treatment plan that may include vaccinations, medications, diet management, and more.

Prescription Diets and Diet Management

We carry a sophisticated line of diets designed to help with the treatment and care of your pet. Prescription diets may be recommended to ease patients through a variety of disease processes or with specific health issues. These diets can often be used to replace medications. We carry Hill’s Prescription and Science Diets, Royal Canin, and Purina veterinary diets.
