At Dr. Michael Tuder & Associates, we provide the personalized pet vaccination schedule that your companion needs to ensure they remain in the best health possible.

Why Should My Pet Receive Vaccinations?

Pet vaccinations are an important part of your four-legged friend’s wellness plan. Vaccines are specifically designed to equip your pet’s body with vital disease-fighting antibodies. These antibodies boost your pet’s immune system, providing an additional layer of defense against many serious and contagious illnesses. Our facility is fully equipped with a wide variety of vaccines to meet your pet’s every healthcare need.

Customized Pet Vaccination Protocols

Our vets firmly believe in a personalized approach to medical care. We know that no two pets are alike so we tailor our pet vaccination schedule to meet their unique needs. Our customized vaccination protocols are based on a variety of factors, including your pet’s:

  • Species
  • Breed
  • Age
  • Activity level
  • Health status
  • Risk of exposure
  • Frequency of travel
  • Other lifestyle factors

Essential vs. Recommended Vaccines

There are a couple of vaccines that are considered to be essential for pets. For example, the Rabies vaccine is required for both cats and dogs. The combination vaccine that protects dogs from Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Leptospirosis, and Parvovirus is also considered to be a core vaccine. For cats, FVRCP is an essential vaccine that provides protection from Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, and Panleukopenia (Distemper). Most vets see these as essential to your pet’s well-being.

However, vaccinations for Lyme, Bordetella (kennel cough), Canine Influenza, and Feline Leukemia are recommended based on your pet’s specific needs. For example, if your cat spends a great deal of time outdoors, then your vet will likely prescribe the Feline Leukemia vaccination. Also, if your dog enjoys being social at daycare while you’re at work, then you’ll need to vaccinate them for Bordetella and Flu which are easily transmitted from one dog to another.

Our vets will take time to talk with you and carefully assess your pet’s lifestyle and risk factors before recommending a vaccination protocol that’s tailored specifically to their needs. If you have any questions about pet’s vaccinations, feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you soon!

“We love this place! I'm hesitant to write a great review because this place is already super popular, however they deserve it. They accept walk-ins which is really convenient, assuming you're ok to come at an off time, or be patient on a Saturday morning. We found them to be very friendly and nice with reasonably priced services. We highly recommend them!!”

- Hailey H.

“The staff here is fantastic, from the receptionists to the techs to the doctors. The feel of the hospital is very comfortable and not clinical like most places. We've seen several of the vets, who have all been great and very helpful. They are also very conscientious about following up on the pet's status which is great. I highly recommend this place.”

- Cayley A.

“The staff here is caring and patient. The doctors are also knowledgeable and answer my many questions. When I've had to wait for test results, the doctors have called me back by the time promised. My cat prefers a kind of food they don't normally carry and they ordered it for me, and continued to order it for me without asking, which is great. I haven't had a problem with wait time, either.”

- Jordan C.

“...really attentive and helpful through our dog’s epilepsy and surgeries. I can't say enough kind things about the practice. This may sound silly, but it is a huge plus that they have parking, which made running our dog in during an emergency a little easier vs. walking across town. Seriously the best vets in Hoboken I can never thank them enough.”

- Brooke S.

“This place LOVES animals, from the front desk to the gentle techs. My dog has had to be there quite a bit this month and I never feel taken advantage of financially (all vets are expensive) but they really CARE about animals. It is never fun watching a pet be sick or injured but I can't recommend them enough.”

- Ellyn M.

“All the doctors are knowledgeable, helpful, caring, friendly, and best of all - approachable with all my questions. They know their stuff, and when they walk into the room - they have already read up all the back ground of the specific pet. I'm quite impressed with their prep work.”

- Klessie P.

“I want to shout it from the rooftops- the Animal Infirmary of Hoboken/Michael Tuder and Associates are INCREDIBLE. They were informative, caring, they followed-up, they did what they could to make my financial situation work, and they treated me not just as another walk-in, but as a long time patient!”

- Frani L.

“From the bottom of my heart I thank all the doctors as well as each and every member of the staff who cared for my Scooter with such professionalism and kindness throughout his entire life. The compassion and understanding that you showed him and me on that last day is something I will never forget.”

- Maria J.

“It meant so much to me that you treated B.J. and Baby Zoey with respect. There aren’t enough beautiful words to express my gratitude. All I could say is if there were more people in the world like you than all our animals would be loved, cared for and happy. You guys are truly the best.”
